My Health Oct 2021

My Health Oct 2021 is a support update on how things are going with my health issues. David Cox Missionary to Mexico, wife Tule.

So this is going to be short.

First of all, I thought that maybe I had a pinched nerve in my spine, or a hernia of one of my disks in my spinal column. We have all but ruled that out. I am still with my orthopedist waiting on an x-ray. But he says the clinical evidence is against that as the problem. He bended me, twisted me, put my knee in my chest, and all kinds of things and no pain. So that much is good.

Secondly, we went to see and nose, throat doctor, and he is a good friend of ours. He recommended that I go check on my diabetes before anything else or any other doctor. So we started with the internist. I didn’t like the internist we were seeing (too young and inexperienced for me). So we went to a new one. A lady doctor. A bit gruff, but the last one we had was an elderly doctor, and he literally would talk with us an hour before he asked anything about my health. Very friendly, but that got old after a while. A 3 hour doctor’s visit was normal with him. He retired, and he gave his practice to his daughter and son-in-law, which we used for a few months and switched.

The new internist changed my meds and that helped some. I was taking the pain medicine in the morning instead of before going to sleep, so that was a big thing. Probably the biggest help was one of our members gave me a box of naturalist herbs tabs to help me sleep, so I am taking those, and they are a big help.

I went to an ansielogist (I think that is right. He works on your veins and arteries.) He did ultra sounds on me, and said everything was fine. He sent me to an orthopedist which also works on trauma cases.

So the bottom line seems to be that my diabetes is causing diabetic neuropathy in the soles of my feet. So we are working on things from there.
